Description

Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The Toronto skyline is widely recognized around the world due to the CN Tower. This tower, which is mainly a communication antenna, was completed in 1976 and is 553m high. It was the world's tallest structure for 32 years until 2007. If you measure city size by the population within city limits (and do not include the sprawling suburbs beyond) Toronto at 2,956,024 people is the 4th largest city in North America, after Mexico City, New York and Los Angeles with Chicago right on its heels.

This is a PhotoPills product. I just can't believe the power of this app which runs on your phone. I planned the location back in January 2021 when I first learned of the eclipse.

I traveled to Whimbrel Point on the north shore of Lake Ontario to get this picture. There were about 100 other people all watching the eclipse, and 1,000 screaming seagulls all thinking that we each had food to give them! One could not resist getting in my shot. I don't mind, they were part of the experience. : )

Title: Alternate version - Expanded Cityscape

Description: I combined the full panorama, and used Topaz Denoise on the buildings as well as Topaz Sharpen on some areas. Its less realistic than the original with the seagull, but showcases the cityscape better.
